Overview

Whole Body PainChronic pain can often be diffusely localized and widespread. Conditions and situations such as rheumatologic arthropathies, motor vehicle accidents, major surgeries or fibromyalgia may be the culprit.  Given its nature, widespread pain can be difficult to diagnose as disease states such as fibromyalgia or centralized pain syndrome often do not appear on lab tests or imaging. However, accurate diagnosis is crucial. Untreated chronic pain may sensitize the nervous system to a reflexive, hard-wired pain response.

This personalized process begins by understanding your unique experience, taking a thorough history and performing a detailed exam.
