Overview
The knee is a complex joint made of bones, tendons, ligaments, and muscles. Knee and leg pain is a common source of pain amongst adults and most often associated with aging and wear from activities such as standing, walking, and lifting. Sports and activities which involve jumping or rapidly pivoting can further damage the connective tissue stabilizing the joint. In addition, athletes who run or play sports that involve jumping or quick pivoting are also more likely to experience injuries. Even without significant wear and tear, systemic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis may result in painful, swollen knees. We understand how frustrating and debilitating chronic knee pain can be.
At Align Spine and Pain, we will partner with you to identify the correct diagnosis. This personalized process begins by understanding your unique experience, taking a thorough history and performing a detailed exam.
