Overview
The foot and ankle are very complex structures that together support the entire weight of the body. The foot is made up of 26 bones, 33 joints, and 107 ligaments. Given the complexity of all the elements that make up the foot and ankle, it is not surprising that most people will experience some problem with the feet or ankles in the course of their lives. Most causes of foot and ankle pain are acute and are caused by soft tissue sprains. However, pain that lasts longer or is getting worse could be due to an underlying condition or structural change.
At Align Spine and Pain, we will partner with you to identify the correct diagnosis. This personalized process begins by understanding your unique experience, taking a thorough history and performing a detailed exam. We strive to provide each patient with hope and optimism as we work together to return them to their best.
